De l'inadéquation d'apprendre par cœur

En réponse à une question que ce posait Will Richardson sur son blog, je suis tombé sur une réponse qui a fait tilt dans mon esprit. La question était : « When Are We Going to Stop Giving Kids Tests That They Can Cheat On? »

Et la réponse de Rob De LORENZO (un autre prof. canadien, pommé, expert en TICE) :

Our society has changed. In an age where information was difficult to attain, information memorization and regurgitation was important so tests were designed to meet that need. Now, with such easy access to information, tests that evaluate information attainment are both irrevelant and outdated. With any piece of information available on-demand, assessments and evaluations need to be skills-based, not information-based. (Rob De LORENZO, source)

Point que Rob a développé ici sur son propre blog.

Mais, non ! Ce n'est pas parce que je n'ai pas de mémoire que le point de vue de Rob me séduit tant que ça... U_u un peu quand même... -_-

Mais, Michel SERRES ne disait pas autre chose lorsqu'il affirme que la technologie nous condamnent à devenir intelligents. Cela veut bien dire, ne plus apprendre par cœur, non ?
